The Los Angeles City Council approved regulations for the recreational marijuana industry on Wednesday, setting the stage for LA to become the largest city in the U.S. with legal cannabis when California’s adult-use marijuana laws go into effect on Jan. 1, 2018.
Michael Straumietis, the CEO of the famous Advanced Nutrients, who is also known as the Marijuana Don, has recently donated more than $100K worth of goods to 2,000 homeless people. His charity, Holiday Heroes, engaged 75 volunteers in making it happen during Easter weekend.
There is great news for marijuana businesses based in Los Angeles. Earlier, the county voted against developing weed businesses. Moreover, it has had a ban on medicinal cannabis location for years. However, in a few months, Los Angeles is likely to become a number one spot for cannabis entrepreneurs.
